        "procurementMethodRationale": "The Environment Agency (EA) routinely use this range of instruments within their fleet. The Radiation, Chemicals and Environmental Hazards (RCE) team intend for the EA to manage their fleet of trailers alongside their own fleet to reduce costs. As such, it is necessary to procure the same equipment as the EA to avoid a mixed fleet being created and increased complexity in the ongoing maintenance and parts for the units as well as increased costs for the management of the units. It will also allow instruments which break or need servicing to be swapped out for the same instrument during protracted monitoring campaigns to minimise data loss. This is in accordance with Reg 32 (2)(b)(ii) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015."
