    "description": "UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has a requirement (subject to full internal approval and <br/>funding) for Events Management and Logistics services in South East Asia, and as such are <br/>seeking further information from suppliers with the capability and capacity to meet the<br/>requirement outlined below. <br/>Background <br/>The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is responsible for planning, preventing, and <br/>responding to external health threats, and providing intellectual, scientific, and operational <br/>leadership at national and local level, as well as on the global stage. UKHSA ensures the <br/>nation can respond quickly and at greater scale to deal with pandemics and future threats. It <br/>does this through advocacy, partnerships, world-class science, knowledge and intelligence, <br/>and the delivery of specialist public health services. UKHSA is an operationally autonomous <br/>executive agency of the United Kingdom Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).<br/>UKHSA is seeking to partner with a supplier who can support the delivery of UKHSA objectives <br/>across South East Asia. UKHSA's International Health Regulations (IHR) Strengthening <br/>Project is enhancing global health security by strengthening the capability and capacity of <br/>public health institutions in Africa and Asia to comply with the WHO IHR (2005) to prevent, <br/>detect and respond to public health threats such as COVID. The UKHSA IHR Strengthening <br/>Project is working with regional bodies across South East Asia, including The Association of <br/>Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as part of this work which has project funding secured until <br/>March 2025. The projects model includes Senior Public Health Advisors and Project <br/>Management staff based in Indonesia and Thailand. UKHSA staff based in the UK will also <br/>deploy on a frequent basis to South East Asia to support the delivery of project outputs and <br/>will be involved in contract management of the supplier.",
