Continuity of service provision for this requirement is essential as if no contract is awarded then the council will not be able to fulfil its statutory duties in providing a general waste refuse collection service in the Helensburgh and Lomond area. This interim cover will provide time for the Council to carry out a mini competition within the DPS for a longer term contract."
