"description": "Gloucestershire County Council is considering letting a contract for electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI) across the County, providing equity of provision to residents, business, and visitors. GCC is seeking information from organisations interested in providing infrastructure and back-office services for the deployment and operation of EV charging infrastructure. Gloucestershire County Council has secured PS2.175 M for Phase 2 of its LEVI award and is also prepared to invest PS0.5M of GCC capital, a total of PS2.675M. The value over the potential contract term is estimated to be PS35m. Gloucestershire County Council are inviting suppliers to complete a Market Engagement Questionnaire to help determine the level of market interest in bidding for these contracts, and to help us shape our contracts for the deployment of EV charging infrastructure. In 2022 a contract was awarded to address immediate areas of deployment priority for EVCI installation and operation across Gloucestershire, now also including Phase 1 of its awarded LEVI government funding. This contract is an own and operate model. The council is now considering a procurement strategy to compliment GCC's LEVI funding Phase 2, that seeks commercial contribution for finance, a revenue share by means of a concession contract, or other opportunities the Charge Point Operator (CPO) market may offer. The LEVI funding awarded will deliver mass deployment of EV Charge Points (EVCPs), deployed equitably to support residents with no off-street parking and to support all demographics and geographies. An outline of deployment requirements considered is to: * Deploy between 850 and 2800 7kW on-street EV ChargePoint sockets (bays) to support residents with no off-street parking. * In minimum batches of four bays (with potential passive installations added as optional) * A minimum of 212 sites, deployed within 3 years of the award of contract or March 31st, 2028. Completed questionnaires should be on returned via the Council's e- procurement system by 7th June 2024, 17:00. The council will invite responding participants to online meetings week commencing 10th June to 14th June 2024. This market engagement can be found on https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk using code DN722849.",
