In that time, Dedalus staff turnover was minimal. Crucially, over the 40 years, Dedalus (DH Opcp UK Ltd) have built up extensive business knowlesge across all programmes of Child Health. They have an in-depth understadning and knowledge of the intricate rules and associated inter0dependancies that apply to the planning and delivery of the Child Health service. They are acutely aware of the reliance trust staff pla e on the system and have grown the capability to accurately and quikly design and deliver system enhancements as well as quicly and accurately resolve incidents as and when they arise. (This has been particualrly valuable during the COVID-19 perios when enhancements wwere requested for delivery in a very short timeframe). Dedalus also own the IPR tot he current system. To procure a bespoke replacement would take years, which would not fit into the timeframe of how long a system will be needed for.
