The scope of the contract is for the design, supply of materials, manufacture, assembly, test and delivery of two White Beam Slit systems (S1 and S2) for the Diamond-II new flagship beamline I17. The WBSs will be used for defining the size and divergence of the beam, controlling the heat load on downstream optics, and providing diagnostic information about the beam. Each system includes the slit blades and their actuators, cooling system, vacuum vessel, support and manual positioning system. The I17 beamline will be a soft x-ray beamline operating in the energy range from 250 eV to 3.5 keV. The beamline will include a series of optical components to focus the beam at the exit slits to which will provide a secondary source for sample illumination.
