The direct award is being made under Procurement Act 2023, Schedule 5, section 7(2), as a change in supplier would result in incompatibility and disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance. The existing nurse call infrastructure is manufactured by The Wandsworth Group Ltd, and upgrading to IPiN Evolution systems ensures technical compatibility with current wiring, back boxes, and operational protocols. This approach avoids significant disruption, also Wandsworth Group Ltd is the original equipment manufacturer and sole provider of IPiN Evolution systems, ensuring compliance with HTM08-03 standards and continuity of service. Finally, the upgrade is urgent to maintain safe and reliable nurse call functionality across clinical areas, which is critical for patient safety and operational efficiency.",
