The Council acquired the land and property from Homes England in June 2022 and in 2023, following a competitive process, appointed Peter Barber Architects to prepare a Feasibility Study to explore the options available in land use. A scheme was approved by the Council in 2024 that has been advanced to a Planning Application. Peter Barber Architects are currently developing the RIBA Stage 4 design.
