                "description": "Governor Support and Development (GSD) at Leicestershire County Council offers a training and development programme as a traded service for school governors, clerks and trustees who have bought in to the Council's scheme. The programme runs each year from April to March with approximately 12 sessions annually in total; however GSD only utilise an external trainer when sessions are not available to be delivered internally in-house. Providers are required to deliver all training sessions virtually by use of either their own purchased license for the professional zoom package or Microsoft Teams. On occasion the core training programme will be available at selected venues in Leicestershire and neighbouring areas together with tailored development sessions on site to Local Authority maintained schools and to Academy Trust schools. Support and development activities will be undertaken via an appropriate combination of telephone, virtual and onsite visits.",
