"description": "The Strategic Mental Health Workforce Plan was produced by HEIW and Social Care Wales and was launched on 07.11.22 by the Deputy Minister. The Plan has 33 actions all of which have been approved by Welsh Government with significant funding. Action 5 of the Plan is to \"develop and implement plans to ensure that there is an appropriate supply of trained professionals to undertake new and existing legal roles\". Sector feedback has indicated that the introduction of an app used in England to connect s.12 Drs with AMHPs for the purposes of Mental Health Act assessments, would help AMHPs fulfil their duties thus making the role more sustainable in terms of recruitment & retention. Accordingly, the decision was made to commission a pilot of the App in one LHB area. Social Care Wales require an appropriate app to pilot test the concept of using an app to support MHA Assessment team organisation and administration of claim forms.",
