        "procurementMethodRationale": "HSS CRIS (Computerised Radiology Information System) is used throughout NHS GG&C Radiology service to control workflow, process results, generate reports and letters and perform clinical analysis. HSS CRIS manages the whole radiology workflow from the electronic orders being placed, to broadcast of results/report and since its purchase, has been extensively customised for use within GG&C over the years it has been in place. Significant investment has been made in not only the original purchase and development of the system, including interfacing to other systems, particularly electronic order communications and also the training of all the users of this system across our Board\". NHSGGC own the HSS CRIS Licences in Perpetuity, only the annual support and maintenance of the product is required to be purchase/ renewed. As such we are not looking to replace the system which works effectively in aiding delivery of the Radiology service, but that we extend the support and maintenance agreement aligned to this system for an additional 3 years from the point of the current supplier support agreement lapsing in July 17.",
