The works at Muir Street involve public realm works including paving in high quality materials; street furniture, tree planting and soft landscaping; creating a transport interchange area with dedicated road space for buses and taxis and bus stopping areas, the installation of bus shelters and associated infrastructure including RealTime travel information and lighting and a relocated signalised pedestrian crossing. At present, the construction boundaries for the Muir Street Interchange contract have not been finalised. It is possible that a proportion of the station forecourt paving works will be procured by a 3rd party.
