The NHS is frequently contacted by young companies seeking to engage with the health service. However, engagement and securing business with the NHS is very complex, time consuming and challenging, particularly for young innovative SMEs. In addition to clinical champions, businesses must also engage and satisfy procurement, regulatory and eHealth (for digital health products) requirements and produce compelling health economic data. This often leads to new innovative products failing to make sales in their domestic market. NHS Market Ready would potentially be looking to deliver two cohorts per year with five businesses expected to participate in each cohort..
