This material must be stripped and disposed of in compliance with the current edition of the Disposal of Asbestos Regulations (2012) As we are changing the roof covering from an Eternit fibre cement slate to a heavier concrete tile, we commissioned Punch Consulting Engineers (Structural Engineers) to assess the roof timbers. Their report states that, \"On removing of the existing Eternit slate, a new roof material up to a maximum self-weight of 0.67KN/m2 (68kg/m2) can be used as a replacement under the current roof truss structure\".
