    "description": "Appointment of 'Preferred Contractor' This project is being tendered by Fife Housing Group, but represents a significant number of property owners in the Johnstone Park area. Private property owners will be responsible for paying their equal and individual shares of these works. In total there are 77 properties associated with the works in this area. FHG owns 11 out of the 77 properties. Following this tender exercise, we wish to appoint a 'Preferred Contractor' who's tender and price will be presented to all property owners to allow a vote to be undertaken to authorise the project to commence. A majority return in this vote is therefore required to take this project forward. A return of 39 votes out of a total of 77 will be sufficient. Following a successful majority return in the vote, a formal contract award will be made with the Preferred Contractor. It is worth noting that this is a single contract managed and administered by FHG. FHG will pay the required contractual valuations and then recover all costs from the private owners. It is also to be considered that should there fail to be a majority to carry the works forward, it is unlikely that the works will commence on site. It should be considered by the tendering parties that no expenses will be payable for carrying out the tender process. (SC Ref:643067)",
