        "procurementMethodRationale": "Market investigation of the compute server suppliers has shown none who provide equipment matching the technical requirements for our high density storage needs. Our data centre is space limited and requires a very rack dense configuration of network attached storage devices in order to meet our projected data volumes for the coming years. We also require our NAS devices to be independently managed (not JBOD type solutions) in order to ensure data/service silos for the various international projects we collaborate on which often have different service level agreements in regards to data hosting and service availability. This combination of high density storage on independent systems is relatively specialized, and falls outside the scope of most vendors whose focus is on storage area networks (SANs) or extended server with JBOD solutions, neither of which can meet our density limitations and management obligations.",
