Post award, the Councils Community Benefits Officer will make contact with the successful contractor to advice on the type of outcome which can be delivered. Support will be provided to identify an appropriate intervention but this can include a wide range of activities which support learning and employability such as talks about travel options for school, college or university students or job seekers; training workshops carried out by contractors for target groups to raise awareness of their sector and its benefits and where appropriate the careers available, motivational talks, school talks, or to run events which tie in with a particular aspect of the curriculums. This can also support activity which supports a particular community including participation or support of a community project or sponsorship. Note that at the agreement of both parties, a work experience placement can be delivered instead of an awareness raising outcome.
