                "description": "Rhododendron ponticum is a highly invasive species that has spread out from core areas within gardens and country estates. The infestation threatens both woodland areas of high value for biodiversity and open moorland habitat. Further spread of the rhododendron will also impede access and is detrimental to crofting practice. The NTS has carried out surveys on its Estate to establish the extent and location of rhododendron infestation. A number of compartments that require rhododendron control on the estate have been identified. Some of these have had work carried out and require follow up treatment. Contractors should have satisfied themselves that they are aware of the specification and work required. The specification shall include information, discussions and instruction made by the Supervisory Officer on the site visit. Contractors are responsible to ensure that they have all necessary information for successful completion of the contract.",
