There was a condition noted within the Contract Brief at point 64 that ' the proposed fee to be charged for the work should be expressed as a lump sum ... Given that each part of the appointment is dependent on securing external funding, the lump sum should be broken down to show the fee and expenses applicable to each design team member for parts 1, 2 and 3 as described in section 3.1. ( of the Contract Brief) '. LDN acknowledged within their submitted tender document that Parts 1 to 3 of the appointment can only be confirmed by FACT when the necessary external funding is secured. For that reason, for the moment, a contract start date of 1st April 2022 has been agreed between FACT and LDN with the hope that funding will be secured to commission the LDN team for part 1 of the appointment in advance of that date.
