For tendering purposes Dumfries and Galloway Region is being treated as one Lot for vegetation control, which is: - Dumfries and Galloway Region Defined paths are to receive cuts to the number, quality and timetable specified on the detailed maps and spreadsheet. In general, grass is required to be cut to a height of 50mm within 1m of paths, around infrastructure such as waymark posts, stiles, gates or seats. Additional works, such as hedge cutting, woody vegetation and herbicide spraying, are required on a number of sections of paths indicated in the specification. Due to the nature of the terrain and the types of infrastructure on the path (stiles/narrow gates) some sections of path will be suitable to being cut by mowers or self-propelled flails or similar, whereas many can only be accessed using brush cutters/ strimmers.
