All organisations appointed to work on our behalf are encouraged to work in accordance with the commitments set out in Aberdeenshire Council's Environmental and Climate Change Policy (2017), Climate Change Declaration and Resources and Circular Economy Commitment together with the Scottish Governments Managing Waste Policy This includes our objective to recycle at least 70% of construction and demolition waste by 2025. The appointed contractor shall work to the following general design principles: - support the transition to a more circular economy - forecast likely waste streams - reduce materials wasted in construction - reduce the proportion of waste that is sent to landfill - reduce materials used in construction - increase the use of recovered materials, materials with above-average levels of recycled and re-used content including reclaimed and redeployed materials (SC Ref:681848)",
