The MD deploys moorings to enable effective monitoring of migratory fish and marine mammals. These moorings extend no more than 5 meters from the sea bed, have no surface buoy and are normally recovered these via an acoustic release mechanism. On occasion this fails and there is a need to recover the unit via an ROV operated from the vessel. Approximately 16 Moorings require recovery with a Remote Operated Vehicle ROV (separate tender) and replacement units require deployed in 4 locations. Moorings are approximately 100 kgs. Total vessel time require will be up to 9 days. Vessels should be at least 10 meters in length, with a crane, suitably rated and a-frame or similar for deployments.",
