        "procurementMethodRationale": "The Institute of Quantitative Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology (IQB3) brings together researchers from a range of backgrounds to tackle fundamental questions in biology and to develop biology-based solutions to real-world problems. Our research approaches encompass the structural and functional analysis of individual macromolecules, quantitative modelling of cellular pathways and processes, and the manipulation of biological systems for practical applications. The EdinOmics facility in IQB3 requires a platform for high-accuracy single-cell isolation and precision nanolitre reagent dispensing to allow miniaturisation and automated sample preparation for single-cell proteomics (SCP) workflows. The platform is expected to be compatible with a wide range of cell sizes, supporting high-throughput precise, efficient and reliable isolation of diverse cell types. Additionally, the instrument should be able to perform protein digestion and sample preparation for label-free and multiplexed quantitative proteomics experiments. The justification for this NCA is that market testing has been conducted and identified the supplier as the only one to be able to fulfil the requirement.",
