The Avenue Screen is a Category A Listed structure located within the Inveraray Conservation Area. In 2019 it was subject to a major fabric repair works contract, funded through Inveraray CARS. The main component of this contract was the full stripping of all previous defective cementitious wet dash render coatings and replacement with a traditional lime harl and mineral silicate paint finish. Defects to the harling, small areas of detachment to the upper zones of the walls flanking the central arch, were first evidenced January 2021, at the end of the contract rectification period, and then again in January 2023.
