Numbers reached, user outcomes and support provided is comprehensively reported on an annual basis to all funding stakeholders. The service meets a number of the Partnerships key strategic objectives of Engaging with communities, Prevention and Early Intervention, Improving mental health and wellbeing, and Tackling inequalities. The North Ayrshire HSCP Strategic Plan (2022/30) highlights early intervention as a key priority and both the Partnership and North Ayrshire Council benefit through the shared resource (match funding) model the service currently provides, for a relatively low cost. Tendering the service would mean that it would cost the Partnership significantly more at current service levels to deliver the same level of benefits the service currently provides. This is realised through the use of well-established local community involvement, the expertise of the service in securing high quality volunteers and the operation of the service through a shared funding model.
