## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is currently in the planning stage for a procurement titled "Request for Information - Provision of Remotely Piloted Air System for LSOC Sites." This initiative aims to enhance security across all Logistic Support Operating Centre (LSOC) sites in the UK by initially acquiring one non-piloted aircraft. Interested parties have until 8 April 2022 to engage with the procurement process. The procurement may lead to additional opportunities for supplying further drones if the initial purchase proves successful. The MOD operates from MOD Abbey Wood (South) in Bristol, England.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in drone technology and related support services. Companies capable of supplying MAA Approved Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems are particularly well-suited to compete. As the MOD is open to understanding the market's offerings, this is a prime chance for SMEs to showcase their capabilities in innovative security solutions, including the provision of training and in-service support for the technology that could eventually span multiple LSOC sites across the UK.
