Secondly, the project will seek to use case study evidence to develop best practice recommendations on how heritage can better contribute to inclusive social and economic outcomes for individuals and communities. The proposed research project is commissioned by Historic England as part of a wider partnership programme with the British Council. Historic England is the government's expert advisory service for England's historic environment. We give constructive advice on the historic environment to local authorities, owners and the public. The British Council is the UK's international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities.
