The procurement process to be used is the Competitive Dialogue pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Regulations. The existing use is as a golf course with an 18-hole and a 12-hole course. The facilities include a Payment kiosk (small shop) and changing rooms/toilets and it is located centrally with high public footfall, but with limited car parking on site. The existing courses provide options for different levels of player. The 18-hole, par 3 course is attractive to the student and family market. The site is well located to benefit from visitors attending the nearby Victoria Park. The public footpaths (Cotswold Way) and mature trees impact the ability to develop the site further. The Council is aiming to remove any financial burden relating to this site and potentially generate an income from the improved facilities.
