## Summary

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside has completed the procurement process for the purchase of "Ten Second Triage - First Aid Equipment" to be used in the event of a mass casualty incident. The procurement, led by West Yorkshire Police and in collaboration with Yorkshire and The Humber forces, involves Aero Healthcare LTD as the supplier. The project, part of the First Aid Learning Program (FALP) curriculum, is aimed at enhancing first aid capabilities following the Manchester Arena Inquiry. The goods procured include 3100 slap bands, 370 tourniquets, and 370 trauma dressings, among others. The direct procurement method was used for this tender, with a budget of £14,908.90. Delivery is scheduled to begin on 1st January 2025 and will last until 1st January 2030. The primary location for the delivery is Yorkshire and the Humber.

This tender provides an excellent opportunity for businesses within the medical supplies industry, especially those specialising in emergency and first aid equipment. Firms capable of supplying bandages, dressings, medical gauze, and first-aid kits would find this contract beneficial for growth, given the extended contract period and the collaborative nature of the procurement across multiple police forces. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a significant chance to compete and secure such tenders due to the suitability criteria aimed at fostering business development in the sector.
