The subject of work is the design and supply of the Freia collimation vessel, which maintains a vacuum environment for optimal neutron transport. The collimation vessel is located inside the instrument cave, upstream of the sample position. The vessel is installed on a concrete base, which provides a stable foundation. Within the vessel a number of components are mounted on translation stages, to enable the instrument to be reconfigured to different operating modes.
