## Summary

Nottingham City Council is conducting a procurement process for the "Waterside Sustainable Transport Study (CPU 3089)" aimed at developing sustainable transport solutions for the Waterside Regeneration Area. This project, classified under development services of real estate, is currently in the Award stage, with the contract awarded on 8th June 2018. The contract period spans from 11th June 2018 to 29th June 2018, with a total contract value of £9,750. Notably, the project is focused on enhancing transport infrastructure to connect the new community with existing public transport links, ensuring sustainability and accessibility in Nottingham, East Midlands, UK.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in sustainable transport solutions, urban planning, and infrastructure development. Companies with expertise in transport consultancy, as well as those focusing on sustainable development practices, would find this procurement particularly relevant. Engaging in this project allows businesses to contribute to an exemplar development that prioritises energy and transport sustainability, potentially positioning them as key players in future regeneration initiatives in urban environments.

## Notice

Nottingham City Council requires an independent Sustainable Transport Study to be carried for the Waterside Regeneration Area (identified in Appendices A and B). This will support the Waterside Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), which is currently in draft form. The Council is working with Blueprint, the developers of several sites within the Waterside regeneration area in order to develop sustainable residential development. The development is to be seen as an exemplar in terms of both energy and transport sustainability. The Council is looking for advice on the transport needs of the future Waterside development area and how to ensure it aligns with the vision for the areas to provide a sustainable and integrated infrastructure and transport network. The Draft SPD describes the area's ambitions: Waterside's community will benefit from its proximity to good public transport links and its location on a strategic gateway into the city. Sustainable forms of transport will be promoted within the area which will integrate the new community with other parts of the city, including the canal which will provide a key sustainable route between the city centre and Waterside. Accessibility by walking, cycling, bus, tram and rail will be maximised, and major road junctions around Waterside will be improved. Improved cross river connections will create better links to West Bridgford and beyond.
