As part of these works, the Gallery wishes to commission a package of conservation works comprising local stone cleaning trials to the Galley facade and the dismantling and storage of the memorial to Sir Henry Irving. The statue (erected 1910, cast in bronze on a limestone base) is located on Charing Cross Road to the north of the NPG and is to be re-erected (and re-orientated) in the same location as part of a later phase of works to construct the proposed new forecourt.) Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
