AEC is looking to procure the services of a geospatial data engineering company to consult upon and create the initial version of a data extract-transform-load (ETL) system based upon the Feature Manipulation Engine (FME). A function of AEC is to collect data from a wide variety of sensors, Farm Management Information Systems (FMIS) and other sources spread throughout a national network of associated farms. This data is then used for research and development of agricultural technology, as a source of data for design, implementation, and testing. The collection and storage are currently achieved manually and is subject to data loss, slow data collection and poor quality.
