The provider of this service will; * Provide continuity of care, and improved patient experience and choice; * Demonstrate clearly defined quality standards and indicators, (based on NICE QS29 Diagnosis and Management of venous thromboembolic disease); * Provide greater value for money and more cost effective means of service delivery. The main benefits and expected outcomes, as well as those listed above are: * To provide an accessible, good quality community based DVT service that is also cost effective; * To provide patients with choice and continuity of care; * To release capacity in secondary care. The Market Engagement Event will take place 1.45pm - 4.00pm, Wednesday 5th July 2017 in Leamington Spa. Further details and an agenda will be sent to you in due course. The Market Engagement Event will present: * an overview of the service to be provided, * details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions, * an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline, * an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations.
