## Summary

The Peterborough City Council is currently engaged in a planning stage for a tender titled "Soft Market Test for Learning Disability Accommodation Based Support to support with 2021-2022 winter pressures - PRF 1309". This procurement, falling under the health and social work services industry category, is aimed at understanding the capabilities of service providers to assist adults with learning disabilities or autism during peak winter demands, from December 2021 to March 2022. Key dates include an engagement end date on November 22, 2021, by which time potential suppliers are invited to submit their suggestions.

This tender represents a valuable opportunity for businesses within the domiciliary care and supported living sectors, particularly those that are CQC registered. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) could particularly benefit by showcasing innovative solutions to support the local authorities. By participating in this early engagement, providers can influence the commissioning approach and potentially position themselves favourably ahead of future procurement exercises.

## Notice

In anticipation of increased demand Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) and Peterborough City Council (PCC) are planning to support the community and wider health system to operate proactively over the winter months. This is an opportunity for CQC registered domiciliary care and supported living service providers to submit suggestions as to how they could support the local authorities to offer support from December 2021 to March 2022 to adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, who in an emergency may require accommodation to avoid hospital admission, accelerate discharge from hospital or other crisis situations. Potential providers are invited to respond to the questions concerning the proposed service to be procured. Responses to these questions may be used to inform our commissioning approach to the tender exercise. In order to make an informed decision on the optimum procurement approach we are looking to the market to assist. Please note that this is not a call for competition, neither is it a procurement exercise but an opportunity for Peterborough City Council to better understand the supply market and for providers to showcase their ideas.
