## Summary

The procurement process involves the Crown Commercial Service, seeking contractors to provide "Project Initiation Support" services under a Framework Agreement. This initiative falls within the industry category of consultancy services, specifically targeting transport systems, energy efficiency, construction, and IT. The contract, structured as an open procedure, features an estimated value of £20,600,000 and spans a contract period from 21 March 2017 to 20 March 2019. The tender was completed on 25 May 2017, following a series of awards for various Lots, which included academic, management, and specialist consultancy services, awarded between December 2016 and January 2017.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for businesses specialising in project management, consultancy, and technical services, particularly those that can contribute to governmental infrastructure initiatives both within the UK and internationally. Companies offering expertise in construction consultancy, technical analysis, IT services, or energy management would be well-positioned to compete in this tender. With the collaborative nature of the Framework Agreement aimed at enhancing project delivery, engaging with the Crown Commercial Service could result in long-term partnerships and an expanded project portfolio for successful bidders.

## Notice

The Authority sought to set up a Framework Agreement to offer this service to departments (including arm's length bodies), local government and internationally through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). The Infrastructure and Projects Authority, formed on 1 January 2016, brings together Infrastructure UK (IUK) and the Major Projects Authority (MPA). The Framework Agreement is a true collaboration of the best professionals to bring a quality service to improve the delivery of projects and programmes both in the UK and internationally. The Authority looked for partners through the Framework to contribute to expanding the scope and application of the tool with the emphasis being on improved outcomes. The Authority's role will be to oversee the use and support directly where there are projects and HM Government priorities. The structure and award mechanism of the Framework Agreement and commercial model underpinning it should incentive Suppliers on the Framework Agreement to grow and develop the tool in order to maximise opportunities for implementation. The Authority brings together expertise in infrastructure and the financing, delivery and assurance of major projects as a single unit, reporting to the Chancellor and the Minister for the Cabinet Office it supports infrastructure and project development and delivery across the whole of Government.
