Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) are explicitly supported in this procurement, fostering growth and enabling them to compete alongside larger entities. The Ministry of Defence has engaged notable suppliers including BAE Systems Surface Ships Limited and Scott Aerospace, indicating opportunities for collaboration with established players. Businesses with capabilities in providing warship repair and maintenance services would find this framework to be an advantageous platform for expanding their operations and securing government contracts.
