## Summary

The Northern Lighthouse Board is conducting an open procurement process for the "Refurbishment and Upgrade of Start Point Lighthouse" located in Scotland. This project, valued at approximately £500,000, aims to fully refurbish the lighthouse, including critical work such as asbestos surveys, installation of new electrical systems, and site maintenance. The tender period will close on 9 March 2022, with the contract expected to commence on 4 May 2022 and conclude on 17 December 2022. Interested bidders are encouraged to attend a mandatory site visit on 17 February 2022 to better understand the project requirements.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for business growth, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialising in construction, civil engineering, electrical installation, and related works. Companies with experience in refurbishment projects, asbestos management, and site-specific installations would be well-suited to compete. This project not only offers substantial contract value but also the potential for ongoing business relationships with the Northern Lighthouse Board, given their focus on essential maritime infrastructure.
