## Summary

Sellafield Limited is inviting tenders for the provision of a Nuclear Diving Capability to support High Hazard and Risk Reduction (HHRR) within the Legacy Ponds Operating Unit (LPOU) at the Sellafield site. This contract, valued at £18,000,000, enables the deployment of dive teams into nuclear environments to assist with waste retrieval and facility remediation. The procurement is in the tender stage with an end date of 12th December 2024, and the contract period extends from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2031. This open procedure above the threshold is targeting the diving services industry, specifically for operations in the North West of the United Kingdom (CA20 1PG). The project encompasses a wide range of activities including safety case development, tooling, radiological surveys, and dive team mobilisation and demobilisation.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in diving services, particularly those with experience in high-risk environments and nuclear safety. Companies proficient in safety case development, radiological surveying, and bespoke tooling will find this project particularly fitting. The open procedure favours SMEs, offering them an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term government contract and potentially expand their operational capacity. Given the contract's extensive requirements and substantial budget, businesses with robust project management and specialised diving resources stand to benefit the most from participating in this tender.
