## Summary

The NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is currently conducting the "Wolverhampton CHC Nursing Homes AQP - 4th Window" tender, which is part of the health services sector. This open procurement process aims to secure Nursing Home Placements for patients qualifying for NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) services in Wolverhampton. The submission deadline is set for 18 January 2019, with contracts expected to commence on 1 July 2019 and run for three years. The estimated total contract value is £5.9 million, based on previous expenditure within the NHS Wolverhampton CCG. Interested providers must complete an accreditation questionnaire as part of the selection process.

This tender presents solid opportunities for both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) looking to grow their business in the health sector. Businesses that specialise in providing care services, particularly within nursing homes for elderly or disabled patients, would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. The Any Qualified Provider model ensures that multiple providers can secure contracts, allowing new entrants and existing providers to demonstrate their capability and quality, thereby enhancing competitive service delivery in the region.

Should there be any geographical areas within the CCG area where further choice of provider is required; the CCG reserves the right to limit the next accreditation round to specific geographical areas only. All potential providers who wish to express an interest in the service will be required to complete an accreditation questionnaire.
