## Notice

The Contractor seeks Subcontractors capable of delivering approx 3km of 1500mm New culverts proposed along the length of HS2 in order to carry watercourses beneath the HS2 trace and will comprise of precast reinforced concrete shaft segments and precast reinforced concrete jacking pipes. In-situ or precast headwalls and wingwalls either end of the culverts will be integrated into the surrounding earthworks. Some of the overall structure will not be pipe jacked but instead open cut construction due to topography of the ground. An example of this would be at the inlet of the drop vortex chamber where the topography of the ground is much shallower, and the pipes are a smaller diameter. Some of the culverts covered will be constructed with a drop vortex chamber inlet to deal with abrupt earthworks.
