## Summary

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council has concluded the award for the "CRSTS Broom Road / Wickersley Corridor Sustainable Transport Scheme" under the tender ID "22-236 Cap Works", focusing on urban development construction work in Yorkshire and the Humber, United Kingdom. This project involves significant upgrades to Broom Road and Wickersley Road, including the implementation of bilateral cycleways, bus priority measures, and traffic calming schemes. The procurement follows a selective method, specifically a call-off from a framework agreement under the YORCivil3 framework. The contract period starts on 22 July 2024 and runs until 29 July 2025, with the design and pre-construction phase expected to finish within 12 months. The estimated value of the contract is between £6 million and £8 million.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses, especially those experienced in urban development and sustainable transport infrastructure. It offers high visibility and potential growth for SMEs, given its substantial value and involvement in a high-profile public transport scheme. Companies specialising in cycleway construction, traffic management, and urban road development stand well-placed to benefit from this contract. Participation in this project can lead to further opportunities within the YORCivil3 framework and enhance the business profile in public sector contracts.
