## Summary

Mole Valley District Council and Runnymede Borough Council have awarded a contract for stray dog collection services, with Clements Environmental Services being the successful bidder. The contract is divided into three lots: one for Mole Valley and Tandridge District Councils, one for Runnymede Borough Council, and one for all Councils combined. The service commencement dates are 27th May 2025 for Mole Valley District Council and 1st April 2025 for Runnymede Borough Council, with services extending until 31st March 2028, and an option to extend by a further two years based on performance. The procurement was conducted using an open procedure, with a total contract value estimated at £220,000.

This award presents numerous opportunities for businesses specialising in dog kennel and animal control services. Companies with experience in managing stray dog collections, and those capable of servicing multiple council areas efficiently, would find this tender particularly advantageous. Bidding for multiple lots, especially the combined lot that serves all councils, could result in operational efficiencies and contractual advantages. Businesses well-versed in public sector contracts and those seeking to establish or expand their footprint in the Surrey region would be well-placed to benefit from this opportunity.
