## Summary

The Home Office is planning a procurement process titled "Conducted Energy Device Grant Funding," which aims to enhance police safety by increasing the number of officers equipped with Conducted Energy Devices (CEDs). This initiative falls under the police equipment industry category and is set to take place across various regions in the United Kingdom. The procurement method is Grant Funding, and the tender closely follows an announcement made by the Home Secretary on 27 September 2019. Interested parties must submit their bids by 12pm on 4 February 2020, with a budget of £10 million allocated for this purpose—£2.5 million for the current financial year and £7.5 million for the next. The contract period is scheduled from 2 March 2020 to 31 March 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in police equipment and technology, particularly those capable of providing innovative solutions for law enforcement agencies. Companies prepared to invest in the registration process on the Crown Commercial Services eSourcing portal and familiarise themselves with the submission guidelines will be well-placed to compete for this grant funding. Given the emphasis on safety and protection, organisations with existing products or services that enhance police operational efficiency and equipment functionality would be particularly suited to apply.
