## Notice

gulls (LBBGs) from the Ribble Estuary breeding colony were fitted with Movetech GPS-GSM tags to obtain a detailed understanding of their movement patterns and in particular their flight height. Although the work was successful, the BTO recommended that the University of Amsterdam Tracking System (UvA) offers a better option for studying flight heights of adult gulls. Eight UvA tags were subsequently purchased by Natural England through a further contract with the BTO.
