Please see Appendix 1 for details of predicted housing growth. For the purposes of this contract, each property is provided with two wheeled bins, one green and one black. The black and green bin collection scheme currently runs throughout 12 months of the year. They are emptied on alternate weeks (Monday to Friday). The black bin is provided for residual waste and the green bin is provided for organic waste (garden ood only). In addition to this, kerbside collection of dry materials for recycling (collected under a separate contract) is an integral and important part of the waste management service in the Borough. The majority of properties receive a multi-material recycling collection using blue wheeled bins and an integral caddieag for this purpose. The recycling collections are made on the same day as the organic waste collection. How to Express Interest in this Tender: 1.
