It is the only National Park to be selected on the programme and therefore presents a unique opportunity to develop an exemplar Design Guide/Code that supports a national landscape designation, a World Heritage Site, and helps other rural authorities understand how Design Guides/Codes can be applied. LDNPA is seeking to appoint a consultant to work with the LDNPA prepare the design guide for the Lake District.
