## Summary

The NHS NEL Commissioning Support Unit, representing NHS England London Region, is managing the London APMS GP Contract (Tranche 7). This procurement process focuses on delivering Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) across 15 GP practices located throughout London. The tender period has now concluded, with bids having been due by 12.00 noon on 19th July 2019. The contracts span a five-year term from 1st January 2020 to 31st March 2024, with potential extensions of up to ten years based on performance evaluations. This procurement is classified under general-practitioner services and was executed under the Light Touch Regime method, allowing for flexibility in terms of bidding and awarding contracts.

The awarded contracts present significant growth opportunities for healthcare providers looking to expand their services within the public sector. Firms experienced in delivering primary medical services, particularly those holding competency in the APMS model, will find this tender appealing. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) may particularly benefit from this tendering process as it encourages diverse participation by allowing bids for individual or multiple lots from the practice requirements noted in the procurement documentation.
