## Summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is initiating a soft market testing exercise titled "Older Person Care Homes Framework Pre-Market Engagement". This process falls under the health and social work services industry category, located in the East Midlands, England. The engagement phase is currently underway, with the deadline for submissions set for 31 January 2020. Interested parties are invited to provide written responses through a questionnaire available on eastmidstenders.org.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, to engage with the commissioning process for older person care services. By participating, companies can influence the development of service specifications and contracts, aligning their offerings with the needs of the Council's strategy that favours supporting older individuals in their own homes. This engagement could lead to further procurement opportunities as the framework evolves.

## Notice

Nottinghamshire County Council is undertaking a soft market testing exercise to capture initial ideas and canvass independent views on the potential shape and model of an Older Person Care Homes Framework Agreement. As a result of our local strategy to keep people in their own homes, fewer older people will be living in care homes. They will be supported in their own homes, or in supported accommodation. Where a care home is deemed appropriate, older people will be supported to maintain their independence and to be a part of their community. The desired outcome of this exercise is for commissioners to obtain information and insight from providers of this type of service in shaping the new contract/service specification. All information gathered from the Soft Market Testing will be carefully considered and analysed by the commissioners. Providers' responses will be anonymised and not shared with competitors for the services. Written submissions are requested from interested providers in the form of a completed questionnaire. Responses should be made using the 'Questionnaire Response Form' and submitted electronically via eastmidstenders.org.
