Developing Restorative Justice & Mediation Services for Victims of Crime and Criminal Justice Responses for the period 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 with an option to extend for 6 months under the Light Touch Regime. This service will incorporate; * A victim lead RJ and mediation service * A multi-agency and contact coordination service for referrals * Delivery of training and awareness raising to public and partners, including the Voluntary & community Sector (VCS) The requirements include but are not restricted to the following; * To provide a seamless coordination service to partners and service users * To have appropriately trained and experienced staff in place for restorative practices (such as face to face conferences) and mediation services * To have safe practices with an effective risk assessment to protect the victim * To increase public awareness and wider understanding of RJ in prevention, early intervention as well as within the criminal justice system * Provide a diverse and localised to meet the needs of victims in line with the Equality Act 2010 * To build and strengthen capability to deliver RJ within Cheshire's statutory, voluntary and private sectors, including schools and academies * To build and strengthen capability to deliver RJ & Mediation within Cheshire Constabulary local policing teams.
